Christmas at the Depot!
Every Saturday in December and the first Saturday in January from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
This year’s Christmas Tree Display theme is A 1917 Christmas to honor the Centennial of our building. Come down and see the Depot decked out for the Christmas season and vote for your favorite community decorated Christmas trees! There are nine trees throughout the museum beautifully decorated by groups such as the Shafter Woman’s Club, Shafter Community Bible Study, Kiddie Kollege, Mission Bank and more! Admission is free and cookies and hot cocoa are available to all visitors! Our goal is to provide a free community Christmas event and encourage visitors to learn about the history of the Shafter area and our AT&SF Railway Depot.
Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the Depot‘s Centennial!
Here are the results of the 2016 Christmas tree display at the museum as well as an account of the events at the Depot during the Christmas at the Depot display.
